Salty Sam’s Marina is one of two Freedom Boat Club locations on Fort Myers Beach (with a third location in Fort Myers). Members at this location relish in the peaceful seclusion of nearby beaches and islands. Whether it is the serenity of Picnic Island (accessible under the Sanibel Causeway via Marker 101); the warm gulf waters and ideal shell-hunting of Lovers Key Beach (just south of Salty Sam’s); or the clear waters and playful dolphins of Hickory Island (south through Estero Bay toward New Pass), you won’t be disappointed.
A special attraction of neighboring Sanibel Island is one of the only working lighthouses on Florida’s west coast, which still provides a clear beacon for many nighttime boaters.
