Carefree’s first New York club is located in Rye, at the Rye City Boat Basin. This municipal marina is a quick 1.7 nautical mile boat ride to the Long Island Sound. From there you will have almost immediate access to Larchmont, Mamaroneck and Milton Harbors.
Steeped in history, this area is great for afternoon cruises with friends and family. Explore the coastline and marvel at the luxurious historical homes and navigate through the numerous moored yachts and sailboats.
If you’re in the mood to play, Rye Playland sits only minutes away from the club. Anchor nearby and catch some live music or take a quick car ride from the club to enjoy all that Rye Playland has to offer.
This area is also home to some great fishing. Outside of any harbour you can come across scores of bluefish and striper during May through July. Snag a bunker and use it as bait to catch a monster striper or bluefish.
Our Rye club is located in the Club friendly Milton Harbor. Here you can find the American Yacht Club and Shenorock Shore Club, as well as a great dock and dine restaurant, Pier Restaurant and Tiki Bar. Only minutes away, Mamaroneck and Larchmont Harbors are brimming with great places to eat and villages with their own personalities to explore.
Journey away from you home Harbor and find yourself at the statue of Liberty, only 25 nautical miles from Rye. Or, shoot across The Sound and explore Glen Cove or Port Washington.
