Carefree Boat Club of Canaveral is located at Harbortown Marina on Merritt Island. Nestled ideally on the Canaveral Barge Canal it is a short ride to the Indian River, Banana River and Port Canaveral which opens to the Atlantic Ocean. The area is an “Outstanding Florida Waterway” and one of the most biologically diverse estuaries in North America. The Indian River Logoon’s brackish waters are home to more than 4300 plant and animal species. It is home to miles of beautiful scenery, restaurants, shopping and outstanding fishing.
Carefree Boat Club of Canaveral is a relaxing way to enjoy cruising, swimming, fishing and nature watching. Members can grab a waterfront lunch at one of the dozens of waterfront eateries. If bending a rod is your idea of fun, there is an endless possibility including inshore like redfish, trout and shook. The offshore fishing is spectacular providing excellent opportunity to catch pelagics like Mahi, Cobia or Sailfish as well as bottom species like snapper, grouper and amberjack. The area is home to many animals like wading birds, bottlenose dolphins and manatees so keep your camera ready, you never know what you will see! There are lots of islands to explore and more than a few to socialize at. It is hard to imagine a better boat club location.

Our knowledgeable staff is second to none and is dedicated to helping members create memorable experiences with their friends and family on the water.
