Mike and Jake Goodridge have been involved in the local boating community for over 30 years. Newington was established in 2019 and is our third location, this follows the opening of Newburyport in 2006 and Portsmouth in 2008.
Prior to opening the Newburyport location in 2006, Mike and Jake were in the marine towing and salvage industry and also owned a boat brokerage operation. Once they discovered Freedom Boat Club, they saw it as a revolutionary break-through in boating and a great option for many local boaters.
Due to the success of the boat club, Mike and Jake acquired Yankee Landing Marina (our Newburyport home) in 2017 and Jake was listed as a Boating Industry 40 Under 40 honoree in 2019.
