BOATING SEASON IS UPON US
EMAIL 1 OF 3
Dear members,
Boating season is just around the corner and our Operations staff has been very busy preparing the fleet for the 2023 season. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for making the decision to renew your membership and to welcome and also thank our new members. As always, our goal is to make the 2023 boating season even more pleasurable than past seasons.
Get ready . . . we are counting down the days until boats are splashed and on the water training begins for our new members.
We have a lot of information that we want to share with you to bring you up to date on what to expect from the Club and its staff in 2023. We did not want to overwhelm you so we have split these important updates into three separate emails that you will be receiving over the next 2 weeks. Let’s get started!
2023 Member Handbook
You will find a link in this newsletter that will bring you to our 2023 Member Handbook. The handbook will provide you with information about the Club including contact information, the 2023 schedule, our head policy, member responsibility and much more. It will be a great reference tool should you have any questions about the Club.
On The Water Training for New Members
Training boats will be splashed the last week of March and on-the-water training for new members will begin in April. New members will receive an email containing dates and times for training and are asked to respond with their preferred date and time. Marybeth will confirm in the order responses are received. Please note that, if your membership includes a member and co-member(s), you are required to train together. If this is not possible there will be a fee of $250 for each additional training session with our licensed instructor.
Prior to signing up for on the water training, please submit a copy of your boating certificate to Marybeth and attend one of the Zoom classes offered by our General Managers. Once your training date is confirmed you will receive information about the specific Club location and parking. Keep in mind that you will be on our training boat out on the water, so be sure to dress appropriately and plan for the on-the-water training to last approximately 3 hours.
Zoom Classes
This is a reminder that if you are new to Carefree Boat Club, you MUST attend an online zoom meeting hosted by Liz for Bridgeport & Westport, Chris for Stamford, or Nicole for Rye. Please use the link to our online calendar to sign up for a date that works with your schedule. Remember to pick the “New Member Zoom Class” for your home location!
2023 Season Schedule
Our 2023 boating season will begin on Friday, May 12th. The fleet will begin to be splashed April 1 and continue to be splashed throughout May. Boats that are in place at their respective Clubs will populate ResNet beginning 8:00 a.m. on May 8th and members can begin to make reservations. The Member Handbook will provide you with additional information about the 2023 season schedule.

For new members – once your on the water training date has been scheduled, you will receive an email directly from ResNet inviting you to create your username and password. Remember, you must provide Marybeth with a copy of your boating license prior to your on the water training.
You will find a video introducing you to the new ResNet Landing Page on our YouTube Channel.
